Feeding
Grasshoppers therapists also provide support for children who experience difficulty with eating, drinking or swallowing (dysphagia).
Our experienced therapists work with many different feeding challenges including:
-
Introducing first foods
-
Texture progression (developing from foods that are easier to eat through to those that are more challenging)
-
Picky eaters (expand their diets)
-
Children who are having trouble physically chewing and swallowing their food and drink (dysphagia).
We are experienced in supporting children's feeding development by working together with other professionals, such as, GP's, Dieticians, Occupational Therapists, Physio Therapists and Gastroenterologists.
Grasshoppers can also support you and your child following being discharged from hospital - helping you to feel confident in implementing any changes into your daily life and knowing that we can support you should further challenges arise.
