Rebecca Jamieson
Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) with Speech Pathology Australia
Bec is a passionate speech pathologist who holds a Bachelor of Communication and Master of Speech Pathology.
With more than a decade of experience, Bec has worked with paediatric clients in a range of areas, including language development, speech sound production, social communication, voice, Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) and feeding.
In addition to her clinical practice, Bec teaches speech pathology at the Australian Catholic University.
Bec founded Grasshoppers Speech Therapy in 2021, with a vision to help bring happiness to children and their families through enhanced communication skills.
Outside of work, Bec loves being a mum to her Autistic son and enjoys connecting with other families with children facing communication challenges.

EmilyClare

Allied Health Assistant/Student Speech Pathologist
EmilyClare is in her third year of studying a Bachelor of Speech Pathology at Australian Catholic University. She has clinical experience in delivering language and speech intervention, social and pragmatic communication skills and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) support to pre-school and school aged children.
EmilyClare has a wide range of interests including early intervention, voice, gender diverse care and neurodiversity affirming practice. She has volunteer experience in gender affirming care for trans and gender diverse adults, and helps run holiday camps for children with various abilities. She aims to always provide holistic, caring, and person centred care.
Besides speech pathology, EmilyClare is passionate about literature, dance, theatre and photography. She dreams of working as a speech pathologist overseas, travelling the UK, Europe and Asia and someday publishing a book.
Lily
Allied Health Assistant/Student Speech Pathologist
Lily is currently in her final year of study, completing a Bachelor of Speech Pathology at Australian Catholic University. Lily has clinical expertise in working with young children to provide assessments and ongoing intervention in the following areas; speech, language, literacy, social and pragmatic skills, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
Throughout her studies, Lily has found a particular interest in early intervention and language development, alternative and augmentative communication, and, most importantly, making therapy a fun and rewarding experience. She is excited to continue learning about neurodiversity affirming practice and working with children in a variety of settings.
In her spare time, Lily enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling the world, reading, and playing with her dog, Mamba. Lily would also love to gain experience by working overseas and completing further studies in AUSLAN, and Orofacial Myology.

Frankie
Allied Health Assistant/Student Speech Pathologist

Frankie is a vibrant Allied Health Assistant who is currently completing her Bachelor of Speech Pathology at the Australian Catholic University. Frankie is experienced in working with both children and teenagers in the areas of speech, language and social skills.
Families that work with Frankie say that she is vibrant and engaging, which makes therapy a fun experience for their little ones. All our children love working with Frankie! Frankie feels it is important to provide therapy that is exciting and that children look forward to attending. Building these relationships with children and their families supports the achievement of therapy goals.
Frankie is also an ‘up and coming’ performing artist (singer), spending most of her weekends singing in Melbournes buzzing music scene.
Makanaka
Allied Health Assistant/Student Speech Pathologist
Makanaka is currently completing her Bachelor of Speech Pathology at the Australian Catholic University. She has gained clinical experience in conducting speech and language assessments and interventions in the paediatric space.
Throughout her academic journey, Makanaka has developed a keen interest in early intervention and working alongside children to help them achieve their speech and language development milestones. She has developed a deep affection for building connections with the families of these little ones. Makanaka loves to adopt a play-based therapy approach. She is committed to remaining current with the latest research and integrating these findings into her therapeutic practice. Additionally, Makanaka is eager to expand her knowledge in Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) and aspires to learn Auslan in the future.
Outside of her academic commitments, Makanaka finds joy in spending time with her family, particularly playing with her nearly 2-year-old nephew. She also indulges in culinary pursuits, creating new recipes during her free time. Furthermore, she is passionate about traveling and aspires to one day provide care as a speech pathologist overseas in destinations like Dubai, the UK, and Canada.

Danni
Allied Health Assistant

Danni brings a depth of experience to the Grasshoppers team, having worked with children with additional needs for 18 years. Danni has completed several years of a Bachelor of Teaching, taking time off to follow her passion for working individually with children with additional needs.
Danni is experienced in implementing therapy plans in the areas of speech pathology, occupational therapy and physiotherapy and teaching.
Having experience working across a range of school, kindergarten and home based settings, has fostered Danni’s wholistic therapy approach. While Danni loves teaching, she particularly enjoys her role as a speech pathology Allied Health Assistant, as she gets to see children develop and prosper as a direct result of individual therapy.
Danni has experience in working with children in the areas of speech, language, social skills and alternative and augmentative communication, just to name a few.
Outside of her AHA commitments, Danni enjoys spending time with her two young children. She also has a love of cooking, self proclaiming that it is her creative outlet.
