Speech Therapy via Allied Health Assistant

The ‘Speech Therapy Via Allied Health Assistant Program’ provides an opportunity to access therapy without lengthy waitlists at a lower cost.

Allied Health Assistants work with children, following a therapy plan created by a qualified speech pathologist.

Initially, the qualified Speech Pathologist will meet with the family to complete an initial assessment and create family centred goals. The qualified Speech Pathologist then writes up a therapy plan, which the Allied Health Assistant implements in partnership with the child and their family. The qualified speech pathologist then completes follow up appointments to re assess the client’s progress and update the plan accordingly. This cycle continues as requires.

Our Allied Health Assistants are currently studying speech pathology at the Australian Catholic University, where  our qualified speech pathologist teaches.

All Allied Health Assistants all are experienced in working with children with a range of communication challenges.
